COMMENTS – COUNCIL MEMBERS
-Council heard comments on cleanup of property and use of camper for
temporary living during cleanup.  Council agreed to support property
owner during this time.
-Complaints were heard on property at Borton and Baldwin street. Letter
will be sent for cleanup of property
-Council has received several complaints on speeding in residential areas.
Discussion included need for signage in areas with children, lowering
speed limits in these areas, and the use of citizens helping to monitor the
speeding issue and reporting  it.  Terry will check on rules for random
placement of speed limits.
-Discussion on ordinance pertaining to replacement of sidewalks that
property owners removed.  Council will review ordinance next meeting.
-Council was informed ball field light project is progressing and should be
done by 1st part of May. 
-Ball field received crabgrass control but did not get dethatched as
requested by council.

COMMENTS PERSONNEL
       -20 new water meters were installed this month
-Core of Engineers will contact us 1 week before work on flood control dike is to start.
-Resurfacing of #9 highway inside city limits will start around April 13th weather permitting
-Trucks are lined up for the city wide clean up

                                 
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

OLD BUSINESS
A.  Renewal of refuse contract with Hale’s Refuse - Council renewed contract with Hale Refuse at a rate of $ 8.00 per
month for residential pickups.  City will also assume the billing of commercial accounts on 1/1/13.
B.  Council approved ordinance setting refuse rates at $ 17.00 for residential accounts.  This fee will cover the transfer
station fees and hauling fees.

A. Board Appointments:  Ambulance board – Joanne Balthazor and Micheal George, Tree board – Steve Rogers and Mary
Lynn Delude, Library board – Connie Gallagher
